Description
The Bridal Dragees made at Romanengo use almonds from organic farms in Sicily. They are made in the traditional copper “bassina” without the use of starches, and for this reason they do not take on the artificially white hue of industrial dragees but instead maintain their ‘natural white’ color and all the rich flavor of the Sicilian almonds that we source specifically for the product.
In fact in the prestigious food publication, “Gambero Rosso” in a run-down of the top “confetti” (as they are called in Italian) on the market, ours were described as a world apart from anything else available, “with an intense aroma, and a light natural color due to the presence of the almond skin and the lack of added starch…. The aromatic notes and flavor are pleasing and the thick sugar coating… makes them the most original”.
