Selection of marzipan treats as part of celebrations for Lent. From “canestrellini” to “mostaccioli” the marzipan is enriched with fig jam and lemon or filled with flavored fondant sugar. “Quaresimali”are available in trays from 500g to 1 Kg.

In the run up to Easter, Romanengo dedicates production to the makin of “Quaresimali”. Marzipan treats made without butter, milk or eggs. A clipping from the Newspaper “Il Popolo d’Italia” in 1868 sums up the importance of these religious offerings,
“ During lent, the kitchens at Romanengo work to full capacity to be ready for the wave of marzipan consumption at levels which no one will ever rival, and which every good catholic may get their fill of without being worried about tempting the demons…”
