This sweet ‘mostarda’ is a candied fruit preserve made with whole fruit in a sugar syrup. This typical pickle is eaten with meat in Italy, however Romanengo’s ‘mostarda’ contains only the merest quantity of mustard essential oil and therefore differs from the spicer classic ‘mostarda’ found on the market. Available in 350 g jars.

The mustard flavor of Romanengo’s mostarda is very subtle letting the sweet flavor of the fruit shine through. Ideal accompaniment to meat dishes including traditional Ligurian Specialities like ‘cima’. Our ‘mostarda’ contains the following candied fruit: apricots, peaches, figs, oranges, mandarins, plums, strawberries and sour cherries, all picked at full ripeness.
