Description

Almond Nougat is inextricably linked to the Christmas festivities although its origins are hotly debated. With the same ingredients: honey, almonds and egg white two distinctive nougats can be made: the hard, brittle type, traditional in Cremona, or the soft, type we make here at Romanengo from an original recipe. The prime almonds we use for our nougat is teamed with honey from Apicultura Orazi near the Umbrian town of Perugia. Its is just one of the three unique “torroni” that we prepare to make your Christmas celebrations just that little bit sweeter.
