Every year between the spring and the summer, in the factory of Pietro Romanengo a secular rite is repeated: all other activities cease and the factory is completely dedicated to the processing of roses. The flowers with which the rose syrup is made are rigorously exempt from chemical treatments. The rose petals are manually separated and their fragrance spreads throughout the workshop. From these processing techniques we produce the rose syrup and the rose petals jam. They have been used for centuries and well known for the medical virtues attributed to it above all by ancient Arabic physicians. It was appreciated for its refreshing and astringent action, useful against various stomach, bowel and throat problems.
